How to Find Us

St Declan’s Way Hostel is located within the grounds of Mount Melleray Abbey, just outside Cappoquin.

 

As you turn off the main road and pass through the Abbey gates, you’ll see a small cluster of stone houses near the entrance – keep going. Follow the road further into the Abbey grounds and you’ll find the hostel signposted just beyond the main Abbey buildings.

If you’re walking St Declan’s Way, the trail leads directly to the Abbey gates. Continue up through the grounds, and you’ll reach the hostel in just a few minutes on foot.

We’re a small team and much of our time is spent looking after the hostel itself, but we always keep an eye on messages during core hours (09:00–16:00 daily). Whether you’re booking a single bed or a group stay, we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.

We’re a small hostel set quietly within the grounds of Mount Melleray Abbey – just follow the Abbey gates and continue up through the grounds until you see our sign.
If you’re walking the Pilgrim Path, the trail brings you straight to us.
