Booking Policy

Reservations & Payments

All reservations must be made in advance through Hostelworld or directly with the hostel by email.
We operate a non-refundable Pay Now model only:
- The full amount of the stay is charged before your stay.
- We do not facilitate any payments on-site at the hostel.
A valid credit/debit card is required at the time of booking.
Bookings can be made up to 1 day in advance of arrival (subject to availability).
All guests must present valid photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or national ID) at check-in.

All bookings are non-refundable.
Bookings cannot be amended or cancelled after confirmation.
No-shows will be charged the full booking amount.
Cancellations due to force majeure (e.g. weather events, transport strikes) are also non-refundable.

Check-in: 14:00 – 16:00
Check-out: 10:00 – 11:00
Guests arriving outside check-in hours must contact the hostel at least 24 hours in advance to confirm if late check-in can be accommodated.
Minimum stay: 1 night
Maximum stay: 5 consecutive nights
Pets are not permitted in the hostel.
The hostel does not accommodate children under 18 years of age

We provide separate male, female, and mixed dorms in line with Fáilte Ireland requirements:
Groups travelling together who wish to share the same dorm must select mixed dorm rooms when booking.

Groups of 8 or more people are welcome; however, any group requiring dinner must contact the hostel at least 48 hours in advance to confirm arrangements.
Standard non-refundable booking terms apply to all group bookings.
Pets are not permitted.

Quiet hours: 22:00 – 07:00 (strictly observed).
No curfew: Guests may access the property at any time but must respect quiet hours.
No smoking or vaping: Smoking/vaping is prohibited inside the property. Designated outdoor areas are provided.
No alcohol misuse: Excessive drinking, disruptive behaviour, or use of illegal substances will result in removal from the premises without refund.

Guests are responsible for their belongings. Lockers are available but subject to availability.
Padlocks will be provided to guests for lockable crates below bunks.
Visitors are not permitted in dorm rooms.
Lost keys will incur a €20 replacement fee.
Please note: All rooms are accessible only by stairs and we do not have a lift. If you have specific mobility needs, please contact us before booking.

St. Declan’s Way Hostel reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate a stay if guests breach the booking policy or house rules.
Guests causing damage to property or misuse of facilities will be charged for repairs or replacement.
